Since there are no stupid questions, I'll just ask. :) Today we unsolicitedly received applications for the installation of gas/electricity connections. They thank us for our request! We did not make any! Do you have to have the connections installed by the local provider (Stadtwerke Herne) or are there other options?

nope ... they have a quasi monopoly. No one admits it, but you have to have the connections installed by the local network operator. And then you also pay them exorbitant fees for the basic service. Be careful not to sign a 1-year contract there. And thanks to their monopoly, every groundbreaking costs a lot of cash :)

Hello there, thank you for the reply. The electricity connection costs us €1872.47:mad: and the gas connection is supposed to cost €2128.14:mad:. Oh yes, and then there was Telekom. With Telekom, you can't see at all what the whole thing will cost in the end. I would like to know who was so "kind" to pass on our data. Thanks for the tip about the annual contract, I will read everything again right away.:) Have a nice Sunday!

Telekom costs you either 0 € if you have the connection installed on the outside of the house, or about 360 € if there is supposed to be a TAE socket inside the house.

Correction, transferred myself two days ago

Telekom costs:

AP "basic service" = outside on the house €0.00
AP "basement or utility room" = €399.95 flat rate
If the AP in the basement is to be made pressure-waterproof, an additional €250 plus VAT will be charged

For the €399.95, however, ONLY the AP in the utility room or basement is set; Telekom has nothing to do with TAE sockets there.
That is the electrician's job....

At least this is the case in NRW, Waltrop, very close to Herne
