Gas connection despite air-water heat pump and photovoltaic?

Hello everyone,

we are building with an air-to-water heat pump + [Photovoltaik] etc., everything is already decided... :)
Now I have received an offer from the supplier for the house connection.

Electricity + gas now the question arises whether we should install a gas connection or not, as we do not need it at least as of today because of the air-to-water heat pump.

What was your decision here? Have you installed gas despite the air-to-water heat pump?
The costs for the gas connection amount to €1,800... which is quite a lot of money for me.

Switch to gas in XX years?
Just want to see how others have solved this... don’t want us to block ourselves here.
But the trend is definitely going the right way -> no gas connection

I also don't find the offer very attractive. Our supplier offers gas 750,- to counter the pump hype. Then you think about it. But if the pump is already installed, why need gas?

Inactive gas connections are not exactly the supplier's preference.
