Garden lighting - brainstorming ideas. Smart home integration?

After we have almost finished the outdoor areas, we are gradually moving on to the garden irrigation + garden lighting.

How did you implement it? So which lights, which bulbs, etc.
I would prefer to work with 12V or 24V in case there are leaks over the years, in my opinion, it is less problematic.
Does anyone perhaps also divide the garden lighting into different zones and integrate it into the smart home?

We let the garden develop gradually; there is no exact plan.

I am having a regular power line installed in the seating area in the garden. A weatherproof garden socket will be attached there. Then I can connect, for example, a string of lights or something similar there. Completely without [SmartHome]

Of course, our outdoor lighting is integrated into the smart home. Garden irrigation should be included before the completion of the outdoor area ;) The question is what you understand by smart home. Bega has systems that operate at the desired voltage levels. We have 230V. Controlled via KNX actuators.

So it's best to install the irrigation BEFORE completing the garden…. Otherwise, you'll have to tear everything up again?!
