Garage structurally independent - What exactly does that mean?

What does your architect say?

@ Chilledkroet

Constructively independent means that the garage must not be connected to the WF; therefore, it may also not be built around the WF.

Consequently, the following situation arises from right to left: house - WF and then only the (then) narrower garage.

Then I guess that's unfortunately the case :(

However, a new question has arisen for me:

Is a carport independent of a garage? We have now thought of it this way: We build the garage away from the boundary, then we can build the windbreak as we want (and could even convert the garage later). But since three vehicles don't fit in the garage, we wanted to build a carport right away by extending the roof of the garage:

Is this permissible or have we overlooked something from the legislator?

Thank you very much.

That works, as long as the carport is at least 3 meters wide. Alternatively, you can split the double garage, basically into 2 single garages. Then your plan works. You just have to know that, we didn't want 2 single garages.

Paradoxical, but that's how bureaucracy is.
