Garage roof renovation - sandwich panels? Corrugated sheet? Trapezoidal sheet?

Our current garage roof (see 1st photo) is leaking and needs to be replaced. There are only bicycles, tools, etc. in the garage.

What is the best solution here? Sandwich panels? Corrugated sheets? Trapezoidal sheets? Or is there another recommendation?

Additionally, we need to replace the wood at the bottom of the roof overhang (see 2nd photo). What is a good alternative here? Gypsum boards? OSB boards? Or something else?

On the roof, I would use metal sheets that look like tiles. They last forever and are inexpensive. You can have them delivered to length or buy them as finished panels. And wood again on the roof. [Gipskarton] and [OSB] are not suitable for outdoor use.

If it doesn't matter how loud it rains on it: corrugated iron (more elegantly expressed as trapezoidal sheet).

Our carport as well as the terrace roof had the rafters covered from above with profile boards and a Thermofol foil from Bauder was applied over it. It has worked wonderfully so far and is also quite easy to implement alone; if needed, a metal edge can be added at the edge.
