Hi,

Oh, a little workout is always nice...

If you bring them suitable for the construction site, they can still simply be lifted up with the crane. But the timing has to be right.

Best regards,

Andreas

40 sqm roof area? What kind of doghouse is that? 6x6.5 meter house area? If you want to install it later anyway, you could probably come to some agreement for a better price. Carrying it up yourself later is also not that easy through the floor hatch. There is definitely a risk of bumping into something with the large bulky parts and then getting annoyed. In the worst case, you ruin your brand-new staircase.

First clarify exactly how many sqm there are/is and if it is really structurally necessary, insist that they do it. Otherwise, consider at least having it laid on.

ps: OSB boards need a cross battens for air circulation underneath.

Hi,

In a house with a concrete ceiling on the upper floor, the boards certainly play no role, as they just lie loosely on the insulation and that's it. Normally, there shouldn't be any beams at all on which the OSB boards rest.

In a house with a wooden ceiling on the upper floor, I can hardly believe it either, but it would still be possible that the OSB board layer stiffens the roof structure. Provided they are also properly screwed to every beam and not just simply resting on them. But that is more of a theoretical consideration.

Best regards,

Andreas

A typical 1.5-story house with a 1m knee wall naturally still has a small Dachgeschoss. Mostly, the attic ceiling is wood with insulation in between.

Hi,

Show-off, do you have more than 40 sqm floor area? You wasteful

I think the OP will have a city villa roof similar to your house. And if you limit the OSB boards to the area where you can still reach at least somewhat (so at least 1-1.2 m height), then that might fit.

Cheers,

Andreas

I have been told that OSB is not ideal for the intermediate ceiling, or is this really about the roof?
