We are facing the same problem. Our current garage has no sealing. Screed and finished. With the result that rainwater or small patches of snow fall off the car and are partially absorbed by the screed. The garage is still very dry, we have no problems with moisture – even on the walls that are in the ground.
My father sealed his garage two or three years ago. Now he has the problem that rainwater and small piles of snow remain on the sealing. Of course, that stuff is super tight.
That means every time: wiping or mopping to get the water out of the garage.
Since we will not have a drain in the garage, we probably will not apply sealing to the new garage either!
