I know from my own observation that after fifty years they are still as fit as new. Hoffmann is affordable, but not cheap. In this respect, an offer from your local provider that is so much more expensive is probably also a defensive offer.
From the whole construction logistics alone, it is unattractive for the "prefabricated" house builder to arrange a garage builder. Am I right in understanding that you originally looked for the cheapest total price for house and garage and are now separating, since the bundle doesn't convince you anywhere for price reasons? - you know my consulting services?
Yes, that's the case. The construction company with which I believe we can get the best package for us and with which I also have a very good feeling and whose references I know is currently the most expensive in direct comparison for the garage. The provider was also not the cheapest for the house, but the package is the most attractive for me, including some marginal conditions that were included in the evaluation. So it is not the cheapest offer. But with the garage, in my comparison, they have overshot the mark and are not competitive in my opinion. I just don't want to grant them that. And neither does my account. Especially when I know that other construction companies can do it cheaper. Whether in stone or wood. So I did not look for the cheapest, but for the most affordable.
Therefore, I have made the decision to let the company build as well, but without the garage. I would then get that, for example, from Hoffmann. Only with the concerns about how that would then look...
In numbers. 25 sqm garage. Simple. Electric door, electrical package included. With box, one door inside. Like in the linked plan ~40k€ at the said construction company. At Hoffmann, it costs me about ~25k€ according to the offer. Not a big difference in money now, but having or not having 15k...
