How about mounting a stop (foam rubber mat or similar) on the inside of the door, DIY-style? The clear opening of the trunk is not affected by that...

Quick question, where are the motor and the corresponding socket located at your place? The gatekeeper recommends placing the socket on the side so that the switch can be operated. The electrician fears that there will be some cables hanging around then.

With the roller door, you hardly lose any height, with sectional doors it’s due to the design.
