Why not? Such a construction is quite stressful and maybe the garage ended up being too expensive. If the construction company then said: “don’t worry, we’ll take care of it,” you might not even notice it.

Do you know the TE personally or why are you reacting so strongly?

I am not prone to lying. What would it even bring me, barely anonymously in a forum? I only just noticed it now. My husband then went out again with the measuring tape himself to confirm it.

I can't say more about it. It is probably always better to tell as LITTLE as possible about yourself.
With this, I remain the "beleidigte Leberwurst" and will not fool you any further.

Best regards and Merry Christmas

Great comment! Thumbs up!

I also think you are really going one step too far here. Why this "hostility"?

No; purely a gut feeling.

What does doubting a post have to do with "hostility"?

Rhenish regards

You don’t see it. I think "Julia - the liar" already feels addressed. What is so unrealistic about only noticing the whole thing after 15 years? I think it is also possible to respond in a "normal" tone here, even if topics repeat and repeat. I don’t see a problem there. But back to the topic.

Julia, there are only humans working at the building authority too. I wouldn’t do it over the phone but just go there and discuss the whole thing. There are plenty of solutions. For example, we had 4 deviations from the development plan. Among other things, the ridge height of the house was exceeded. I was also unsure whether that could stay that way, so I sought the conversation with the building authority. After 30 minutes, the issue was settled and the new height was included in the building permission with an exemption permit.

Well, I understand both sides and whether my carport is 3 or 4 meters wide, I don't need a tape measure for that. At 6 or 7 meters, it gets a bit more difficult. But if I had thought for 15 years that 4 meters were okay and only now properly and in detail looked at the plans and saw... oh, actually only 3 meters... then I would measure again too, knowing full well that it is not 3 meters.
