Gap in kitchen unit? How do I close 79mm?

Hardware stores cannot cut moldings for occupational safety reasons. Such things are cut on a panel saw - which hardware stores do not have. If it is to be done properly and is coated, it also needs to be pre-scored. This should be done by the company that installs the kitchen or by a carpenter.

Cover sheet and circular saw with guide rail should be enough. Of course, it looks better with a panel saw, but you can still use silicone to correct it.

Is it not possible to order the cover strips to size at Ikea? An Ikea employee planned such a cover strip for us. We had previously thought we would take a carcass without a door and saw the crossboards to the appropriate width. She advised against that and said a matching cover strip would be better.

What counts as molding? I have had at least 10 "strips" under 10 cm wide cut on the panel saw.

That violates safety rules or is cropped on the right and therefore super inaccurate

1 mm too much - I'd rather think about planing than sawing (?)
