Fruit espaliers as a "garden fence"

On our old property, the young roe bucks always came in spring during mating season; they were particularly bold then. They enjoyed the rosebuds, all of them when they got a chance, and peeled the bark off the black currants. Just wild for snacking. Although they basically pleased me, I sincerely wished them the cooking pot when they held another nocturnal garden party. Maybe something inedible would be better after all? Best regards Gabriele
