A lot of clutter means a lot of stuff standing around, which creates a lot of cleaning work.
Basically, I agree with you, which is why I only have one picture each on the front wall of the toilet and an additional bowl with hand cream in the guest bathroom. The selected pictures are initially a provisional solution until I find the perfectly fitting pictures ... that will still take some time.

Why is that an advantage? (Seriously asking) As a blind person, I don’t find it very practical that currently (in my rental apartment) the mirror is "further away." But maybe I’m missing something (pun intended)and then the mirrored cabinet is a bit further back.
You mean the pre-wall installation that is built in front of a wall. Pipes do not run in exterior walls. In that respect, it is useful for supply and drainage. It is turned into a shelf because it is simply there.A front wall is basically useful as a later shelf, isn’t it??? That’s my question.
This is just a recommendation in the corresponding DIN. I just checked because in our house the sink in the utility room is also directly on the exterior wall.There are no pipes running in exterior walls.
