Of course, we placed a fire guard in front of the stove. The baseboards stay.. the stove needs a bit of air at the back. The thermal mass is not very large. The stove serves more for coziness than for classic heating. However, adding fireclay would be relatively easy. Yes, unfortunately, the piano will probably have to go somewhere else.

What I noticed first today is that the room air becomes extremely dry. We started the fire with 2 small logs, the humidity dropped to 37%... hmm..

37% is completely normal at this time of year.

A stove is one of the best investments in a low-temperature new build. The heating systems are so slow, and you need a way to control your personal heat requirements.

We love our stove :). You certainly do too.

A very nice stove. It suits you. Yes, it will then be dry. Opening a door to the outside helps. We now have the weekend, enjoy the thing, don’t be too stingy with the logs, otherwise the glass will get soot-covered.

If the air becomes too dry, simply place a bowl of water on the stove. A few drops of essential scented oil in it and it also smells great.

well of course, because it is the relative humidity. It naturally decreases when the temperature rises because the air could hold more water. But the "amount of water" in the air is the same.

And airing out warm air is also rather counterproductive.
