Hello everyone,
we are about to order a terrace roof with wall mounting.
Two posts of course have to be fastened to the terrace with a foundation.
On our terrace, we had concrete slabs laid in a gravel bed.
The manufacturer of the roof recommends two point foundations with a diameter of 45 cm and a depth of 80 cm.
I still remember how extremely compacted the gravel for our terrace was (which is of course also positive) - I am just currently wondering how I should get down 80 cm here.
Can I possibly use the compacted gravel as a foundation - or do I even have to go 80 cm deep? How would you do it?
