Of course, it could also be that the heirs themselves act as bidders and hope to get the house cheaper that way.

Or simply just maximize the sales proceeds?

Let's see. There were enough interested parties, including me, who exchanged contact details with the heirs. Maybe there will be an agreement, maybe not. I think it is unlikely that a new date for the auction can be scheduled promptly and appropriately given the circumstances. For that, the district court would have to provide a venue with a capacity for about 100 people while observing distancing rules – that takes time again. Then the date will be announced and will take place 3 months later... and behold, we will have landed in late autumn and contact restrictions may be tightened again.

Is there anything new here? I just came across this and would be interested in the further course.

No, there has been nothing new since then. One side of the owners diligently collected contact information ... me too. However, I haven't heard anything afterwards. That means the status remains unchanged but without a new auction date or the house was sold elsewhere, the parties have come to an agreement or or or. No idea

That was quick, thanks!

Sorry that this is taking so long and – I suspect even worse – that you have no idea what the status is now.
