Hello everyone,
we are planning our single-family house and would finally like to come to about 180sqm (currently it is 189sqm with two floors without slanted ceilings). Ground floor with utility/technical/storage room, kitchen, dining room, living room, office and hallway. Upper floor with master bedroom/dressing area, family bathroom, shower bath with washing machine niche, two children's rooms and office/3rd children's room.

Ground floor:
-The office should possibly be used as an apartment later on.

Upper floor:
-The hallway on the upper floor is quite narrow and long/dark.
-We do not like the dressing area/master bedroom as it is now.
-Is there a possibility to realize a second staircase to the attic?

In general, we are open to ideas and suggestions. Windows are obviously not considered in the floor plan yet. We are primarily concerned with the room layout.

Thank you very much!

House design
Who is the planner:
-Do-it-yourself
What do you like especially? Why? All rooms are accommodated. Little traffic space.
What do you not like? Why? Dark hallway in the attic. Crooked rooms.
Preferred heating technology: air heat pump

If you have to give up, which details/extras
-can you give up: we would be willing to integrate sloped ceilings with a knee wall of 1.50m
-cannot give up:

Why did the design turn out as it is now? e.g.
Standard design from the planner?
A mix of many examples from various magazines...

And, site plan, house orientation, windows, budget, etc.? How should the upper floor be arranged on the ground floor? Roof? EDIT: And then furnish your plans. Then you'll already see the first problems.

Of course? One (room layout) does not work without the other (window positions).

And why are there 2 full floors visible there?

The tool can also handle roof slopes. The tool is very easy to use. You should just distance yourself a bit from the simulation house when it comes to real matters. If you plan just under 190 sqm, you should be able to justify spending 600,000 or 650,000, but without professional knowledge playing Tetris.

And now you would prefer suggestions on how to reduce 9 sqm?

There is a dilemma: bathtub and beds even require a 2 m knee wall, but the development plan says single-storey!

That is normal, they arise automatically when laypersons want to save circulation areas.

The parallels of these designs are interesting:

The lower one is not without errors either, but it is buildable.
Are you also a Jochen?
