Where we are building, there is only "slope," so you can't be too picky about the incline. ^^
The retaining wall on the left in the pictures I attached, including the level area, was already there and will remain (so it was not removed by us). We just need to further secure the slope to the left of the retaining wall. It should be about 3 meters in height that still needs to be secured. Additionally, there is the securing of the driveway.
The slope securing was estimated at just under €25,000. L-shaped stones would be about €8,000 cheaper (€7,000 net). We live in a rather expensive region of Germany. I also believe that the additional 50 cm in height did not significantly affect the price overall ....
It is hard to say exactly how much extra cost is due to the slope, as it impacts many positions. According to our architect, he generously calculated based on the slope, but also advised us to add 10% safety on his "net house price." Basically, our entire budget for the outdoor area goes into the slope securing (and terrain modeling, so that later a terrace can be made directly without needing another excavator, etc.). After excavation and civil engineering, we will have used about 10% of our safety margin so far. Since it was originally only intended for the slope, I think that’s pretty good :). Since prices are rising at the moment, I am also glad about the remaining 90%.
When is the planned start of construction? In a few weeks, maybe I can tell you more.
