Yes, we are allowed to place it on the border. Behind it there is only forest land. So no one who would mind a few centimeters less. Well, the slope would take away about 1 meter from us. The wall only about 20 cm. Besides, a retaining wall looks much better and a fence can be easily attached to it.

Alternative solution: You dig your 50cm trench. Pour (delivery) concrete into it and on top of that, place 4 rows of shuttering blocks. That's how I did it with my retaining wall at the same height.

That's how I would do it too. It works very well this way. We built our terrace (1 meter high) the same way ourselves. It works very well and very quickly. The only important thing is to include reinforcement in the formwork blocks and protect it properly against water.

How much did you pay in total (Fundament, Stahl, Steine)? Had also thought about it but put it aside for now because of the costs.

I mean, our neighbor did it as described in #9. Foundation, above that "built" with shuttering blocks. In my opinion, he did not properly finish the wall crown, but you can probably do it better . Fence posts can be anchored in the wall or screwed on the side.

An advantage of the shuttering blocks is also, in my opinion, that they can simply remain standing. A formwork made of OSB boards or construction timber would practically be waste afterwards. That would be a shame. And also additional work/effort with ...
