In my opinion, the sump should definitely be planned, as it also offers some security in case of an emergency (pipe break, flooding, etc.).
According to our plumber, you should never use such a macerator for continuous operation - it should always be just an emergency toilet and not something you use several times a day. Otherwise, malfunctions would be inevitable over the years...
