Hello everyone,

we are currently at the point where we want to build a house in the next few years. Since a building area is being announced in a location that interests us, we have already started thinking about the topic of building. Because the plot influences the house and we do not have it yet, our approach was to think about a house. The floor plan presented here would fit well on one of about 3-4 plots in the new building area. The house should have 2 full floors and a basement.

I would be happy if you have a few comments on this.

Best regards,
Jimmylein

(Perhaps the admin could set the forum software so that not every second uploaded image file is much too small. Since this lapse occurs continuously, the error is probably due to the forum software or the unclear operating instructions. Or the far too restrictive size limitations.)

Thanks for the info. It really seems to be a problem with the forum. Now as a *.jpg.

What is the wall in the dining area supposed to be? And what is the wall in the hallway supposed to be? Based on the dimensions, I would probably swap the kitchen with the living area... and do without the pantry (at least as it is drawn diagonally there. Instead of that pantry, two tall cabinets there would be better, it has almost the same utility but looks nicer). Why are there windows to the left and right of the bed? They will probably only cause unrest ;)

About the wall in the dining area:
It's more like a approx. 1m high small wall... possibly just a closed back of a corner bench.

About the wall in the hallway:
- Option for a windbreak
- Clean separation from the entrance area to the living area
- Space for a mirror

About the pantry:
- The option with the 2 or 3 tall cabinets instead of the pantry I've brought up several times but was vehemently rejected by the better half with the reason: "The kitchen looks so huge even though it isn't, and besides, you then have to lift the vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies over a edge every time..." And visually she just doesn't find it nicer. I'm basically powerless there :-)

About the windows in the bedroom:
- Window directly above the bed is not desired but two windows in the room. And from the outside view, it would also look bad with only one window.

Generally, swapping kitchen and living area I've already tried but it never really worked satisfactorily.

Regards

If you’re planning a corner bench, then rotate it or plan a different layout or use a shelf. That wall disfigures the room!

You have a hallway, so you don’t need a windbreak; nowadays the doors are tight anyway. The living area is separated by wall and door... there is enough mirror space. The wall takes away your spaciousness, as above. You gain nothing.

There’s no accounting for taste...

How is the outside view with the left window? Does that fit in the outside view??? ;)

Anyone can build however they want. But these are comments that should be considered.

My two pence... for a standard house that is somewhat disfigured by several little walls. It can be done differently :)
