Yes, it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the feedback. You can't see the forest for the trees, so to speak, I already know the floor plan inside and out, which is why I can naturally say blindly where what is. That my jumble is not immediately understandable at first glance is dawning on me now.. I promise to improve, but not until tomorrow, because the baby is already sleeping in the study (yes, we need more space) and I just don't dare go in there right now..

Yes, we are considering that as well.. I currently prefer the option of parents being upstairs with the children and then moving downstairs as soon as we no longer have an au pair. But that is “just” the mom feeling and not necessarily backed up by factual arguments..

The tip about bathroom use for guests is actually good! Thanks for that, we will include it in our considerations

I had the same thought, but: reducing the bathroom in favor of the utility room or wardrobe area is somehow difficult because of the window. Or maybe I lack the imagination. The garage is on the north side, so there is no window there. And I would really want to avoid a bathroom without a window..
