The utility room will probably also serve as storage for some small tools and kitchen appliances. Possibly laundry will be dried there. In this respect, a small window with a higher sill makes sense, so that you don't have to keep turning on the light or for ventilation. Katja’s socket variant also makes sense: we do it like that all the time when the car needs vacuuming. Switchable outdoor sockets also cost money, it adds up. Thank you for your comment, you got it :)

Why actually? We have a window in the utility room and in the technical room. Both are normally closed.

But you could also simply believe that the great effort paid off and the OP actually came to a realization. ;)

I would install a small window. We don't have one - since it's on a slope - light is always needed and I often just leave it on because I need something again soon.

No, because other designs would have come up for discussion, which might be better, but not this side exit, which by the way was vehemently supposed to serve as the main entrance for the family with wheelchair users, but doesn't. Oh, well, it doesn't matter. I just find it annoying that you put effort into arguments and then have to listen to people say you're talking crap. So you just stop bothering to look at the plan and consider alternatives (->doors)

We installed 1m wide windows, better safe than sorry :-)

do you know anyone who is alive and has never changed? Now when I say “we no longer want the side entrance door” it wasn’t decided all of a sudden, and the discussions that have taken place until now (here in the forum) also play an important role. It’s not bad, what I find bad is how people react against it. Such illogical reactions and even get brought up in other threads and it keeps getting worse. If I fool someone in this way, I first fool myself, since I invested so much time (even much more compared to, for example, you) and why should I do something like that at all? In the end, I said “everything’s fine” just to put an end to this discussion, because it doesn’t bring anything good. Now please don’t write about this anymore, otherwise I will have to respond and I really don’t want to do that.

Regards
