Fixed window element - H220 x W200 - Weight ?!

Hello everyone,

we are planning a fixed window element in our living area (plastic with triple glazing; not openable) with dimensions of approx. W200cm x H220cm.

Our site manager now says that such a window (fixed) is too heavy and installation is only possible with a crane. Can someone tell me if this is actually the case?

I once read that such a window weighs around 130kg, which already speaks for a more difficult installation. Has anyone had experience with this?

For background: The place where the window is located offers us a beautiful view, which we would prefer not to have impaired by a mullion, hence the decision for a fixed element.

I installed a window about 3m x 2.10m triple-glazed with [VSG]. It went quite well on the ground floor without major height differences using round sticks to roll it. But it was already heavy.

At the neighbor's, they carried it with 5 people, but only on the ground floor. Approximately 2.5x3m triple pane with safety glass. So the crane can certainly be justified.

We have 2 2mx2.2m elements (fixed) on the ground floor - normally triple-glazed; went without problems. However, the glass panes were delivered separately from the frame.
