Hello I am currently puzzling over the floor plan of my apartment yet to be built. It is an apartment from a larger construction project where everything is centrally planned. I only have limited options to make changes to the floor plan. The bathroom is quite small (220 x 180). How big should a shower be so that you can still shower comfortably without bumping into everything. At the moment I shower standing in a bathtub which is 180 cm long and open at the front. I find it difficult to compare or measure. How big is a practical and comfortable shower?

As a minimum, I would consider 90x90. Smaller greatly compromises comfort.

Yes, Willo, I suspected that. In the exhibition, I stood in an 80x80 shower and found it just slightly too small. But I was wearing clothes and was therefore unsure. I have planned an 80x100 shower, with the 100cm being the width and the 80 the depth. I think I mainly need space in the width and not so much forward. Thanks already for your assessment

We still have 120x80 here in our old building and manage well enough with two people. Toddlers can also be showered very well in it. Therefore, I think 80x100 is also fine for one person.

Eldea, do you have the 80 in width, from right to left when showering, or in depth so that you have 120 width? That would definitely be enough for me

Standard dimensions for shower trays are 90x90cm
