Hello everyone,
we are planning an open U-shaped kitchen for our new apartment.
We basically want to use third-party appliances.
Here are some questions:
1) Which fridge/freezer combination would fit into the 220cm high cabinet? Do you have any recommendations? And what about the door fronts? As far as I can see, the upper door would open the fridge compartment part of the fridge/freezer combo AND the upper storage space of the tall cabinet. Is that correct? So if I only want to open the top compartment, the 240cm version would be the only option.
2) The oven should be built high into the tall cabinet; as far as I have read, there are usually fewer issues with fitting ovens into Ikea cabinets. A Neff or Siemens oven is planned here.
3) For the induction cooktop (80cm, Siemens), it is planned to place it centered between two 80cm cabinets. Has anyone done this yet? Does it work? I assume you have to cut out the side walls a bit for this? What does the area below the cooktop look like? Undercabinets with drawers are supposed to find their place here. Is there a free space reserved for the induction cooktop?
The extractor hood is supposed to be a headroom hood.
The sink should be one from Schock made of quartz composite, with the dishwasher underneath. Is there anything to consider here besides the fact that the dishwasher must be an XXL model with a vario hinge?
4) Lighting. We saw the following solution at Ikea and like it very much. However, I don’t quite understand how the flush solution is implemented. The lights are usually constructed so that they sit on the bottom cabinet. Do you have an idea of what exactly is needed for this?

Have I forgotten any other essential points we should think about?
Many thanks in advance!
