The wood-burning stove and the chimney system must match. If you do not want to open a window while heating (to ensure sufficient fresh air - don’t forget the pressure monitor), then you need a room-air-independent chimney system and a certified stove that you can connect to it. For example, we have a Plewa precast chimney that is room-air-independent. We wanted to connect a stove to it. We also have a KfW55 house (70s certification),... I wouldn’t know when I would turn on the chimney,... It is always so warm here that even a 4kW stove would be far too powerful. We are currently leaning more towards a fireclay stove, which releases heat more slowly. Take into account your required heat demand for a KfW55 house - because you can quickly overheat the room terribly.
