Financing the purchase of a single-family home: Lower interest rate or longer term?

Reminds me of a time when I was thinking about the amount of insurance coverage for pet owner liability. Comment: you don’t really think they’ll pay the x million if something happens! What do the experts/insiders say? Do banks have a chance to unilaterally exit the contract? In the case of savings contracts, it worked after all... At least my grandma recently had such a contract terminated.

I only know of one gap in company pension schemes. I have not heard of it with loans yet.

After a long "back and forth" we decided on the 15-year fixed interest rate. Your arguments regarding the remaining debt were heard by us.
At the moment, the loan application is under review at the Commerzbank. Let's see :)

If the bank gives the green light, it will remain at €400,000 loan, 3.75% repayment and 0.84% effective interest.
We are satisfied with the financing and glad that we now have the matter wrapped up.
It was indeed a longer process in which I learned a lot.
