You misunderstood me :-) by not suitable I simply meant that it doesn't appeal to the potential better half, or that they have other needs. Or as a single person, you plan processes differently than a family. It's just something different whether you plan and build something together, or if you move into the partner's house.

That shouldn’t be a problem here – exceptions prove the rule, but the property is located within the catchment area of a large city in southern Germany. You get very little for a lot of money here :D

Of course, I basically agree with you, but if big wishes arise, a big wallet must also come along :D Since I am far removed from extravagant (oak parquet, white walls, neutral kitchen, etc.), I don’t expect any serious problems (the floor plan is of course optimized for me). This construction project will also not be my personal realization, although I like to prioritize an affordable result. I don't want to come across the wrong way, but anyone who can't live with solid new-build standards should perhaps reconsider other things (based on experience, wishes are very big, but the capital very small) – at least that’s been my limited life experience so far.
