Why bold? 2.4 for short-term money, the bank also wants to make money

Brazen in the sense that it otherwise refers to the year. I would certainly have noticed that before signing.

I would rather choose a fixed interest rate of 10 to 15 years for a planned term of 20 years. This reduces the interest rate and thus the interest payable. If you then make a little extra repayment, everything will be fine. The counteracting risk is IMHO manageable, since after (at the latest) 15 years the remaining debt is correspondingly low.

It will probably also run for 15 years. At Interhyp, there is an interest rate difference of about 0.5% between 15 and 20 years. He briefly calculated it down, meaning if we put the money saved into special repayments, the interest rate would have to rise to around 6% (without the planned special repayments anyway). However, since we are a bit cautious, we will let an existing building savings contract continue; so if interest rates rise to unforeseen heights, we still have a backup. Do you think 1.8% for 15 years and 450,000 at 80% loan-to-value are okay (with 5% special repayments and repayment changes between 1-10%), or should I inquire again at Dr. Klein? Thanks in advance

I would take another look there. Who is offering the condition?

Try asking at the HVB.
