€1000 in Hamburg for daycare? The first 5 hours are supposed to be free, aren’t they?

It depends on whether your wife finds a good job. If yes, it should definitely work. If she doesn’t find anything, or works somewhere else? What then? In that case, a €1600 rate on a €4000 income is relatively high in my opinion.
We are planning for about €1000 rate for 2 children, so not too far off either. At least I would plan for the possibility to lower the repayment rate.

I just wanted to say with my post: Why do you worry about what other people do with the money they have left? 1600 EUR out of 6500 EUR net is great! You can live very nicely with that, period. Your reaction to this just shows me again what a spiteful society we live in!

No wonder when you boast about your salary day in, day out..

I would say, you should deduct your 2 secondary incomes and use them for unforeseen expenses – whether it’s missing medications, repairs, or new appliances.
If you then include wastewater and electricity for heating, it still looks quite good.

However, for me, the wife’s salary is a question mark because it’s not permanent?!

Off topic: I always wonder why people study for years and fill their brains with knowledge that is not suitable for everyone – and then immediately want to go into the 4-room, children, household story. For me, an unsatisfactory waste.

You are funny.. I boast about my salary? In a forum that is largely about income situations? You completely confirm the statement I made above. Thanks for that :)

Addendum: Would you have made this remark if my income were lower? Certainly not. Conclusion: It's only about the amount -> envy! Typical German!

Sorry Steffen, but there is some truth to it. You like to talk about it and sometimes also a bit disparagingly about those with "only" 4T € income.
