The question is also whether you obtain the material yourselves or if you get it from the home construction company? There are many companies, especially in the prefabricated house sector, that offer different stages of completion. Then you would at least have a price for all the material (a buffer should still be planned) and only have to estimate what other costs will come up for you.

That was a lot of answers, great! Well, now I have an idea. We are still at the very beginning with our thoughts. That's why we don't know yet if there will be expansion packages or if we will shop ourselves. You have to weigh it up, I think the packages are not bad, but my husband gets goods from the wholesaler. But now it's time to continue thinking and planning and having conversations... Thank you all

It becomes problematic if you then need a craftsman for a trade and cannot pay for it yourself. Additional financing may not be feasible or more expensive. So calmly plan a "buffer" for contingencies and name it as such in the statement. This way, there will be no problems with the payment.

Go through all trades with friends and family and calculate with the respective people plus an additional 10% buffer. Ask a thousand times if they are reliable and make a rough schedule. If necessary, note down their vacation times. Very few people can suddenly invest 20/30 hours on the side in someone else's project, in this case yours.
