(Water escapes from the inside between the sink and the faucet). We have a house construction contract with warranty according to the Building Code for 5 years. But what exactly does the warranty cover? Our plumber says the faucet itself only has a 2-year guarantee! Is that correct?

Thank you very much for the information in advance.

Best regards
MNI

Hello,

the warranty does not apply to wear parts, so things like silicone seals and similar. It is quite possible that the seal in the faucet is also not included.

Bad luck, unfortunately

Hello,

that cannot be true that it is already defective after such a short time. But often the cheapest parts are installed and people hope that the customer does not notice

Hello,

thanks first of all for the answers.

The plumber contacted the manufacturer of the faucet (Grohe) and informed us that they will replace it on a goodwill basis. This is supposed to happen in the next few days. I am curious.

Nevertheless, I am a bit uncertain. Where can one find information about what is included in the 5-year warranty under the Building Code and what is not? Does anyone know?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

it's best to have all the faucets checked; if the same model is installed there, the same issue can occur with the others.

see you then Lauscher

When I always hear that, "as a goodwill gesture"!! Meanwhile, the company probably knows exactly what kind of junk they installed for you.
