In our wooden house, all windows have a lintel height of 35 cm executed!?! In my opinion, way too much. How is it with you?

Please provide lintel height and construction method.

That can be measured quickly and helps me a lot.

in our rental apartment (solid construction from 1972) the distance between window and ceiling is 26.5 cm.
In our old apartment (also solid construction from around 1965) it was about 15-20 cm and that was actually sufficient.
35 cm like in your wooden house seems to me at first "glance" too much. But since it is a wooden construction, it could look quite pleasant.
Have you ever been in another wooden house (show home) and measured there?

If your windows are to be installed with an attached roller shutter, the height is mandatory.
