Hello,
I hope you can help me. We had a detached single-family house without a basement built in August 2014. The concrete slab, pipes, etc. were done by the builder. We moved in April 2015 and have now had to undergo a leak test. Unfortunately, we did not pass this test, but we have no information yet on whether a seal or a pipe may be defective. Of course, we have already completed the outdoor facilities, etc. This means you can't just dig up to fix the "damage." Now the question: Who is financially responsible for fixing the error (in full)? Is it our personal bad luck, or can we hold the builder accountable? This does not only refer to "digging up" and possibly replacing the defective pipe but also to the resulting damage to terrace, paving, garden, etc.
I would be very happy to hear your opinions.
Kind regards
Modjo
