Hello everyone,
we need your expert opinion on the following topic:
Our builder offered us a house including a plastered facade. Now we have decided on a facing brick/clinker.
At Viebrockhaus it was said at the time that facing bricks and plaster are identical in terms of cost. However, our builder now wants €12,000 for the clinker. Included are bricks for €500 gross / 1,000 pcs standard size.
The ground floor is to be faced all around once, the gable sides will be plastered on the upper floor. On the non-gable sides, the brick will then go fully up to under the roof overhang (one-story house).
We now want to be able to assess whether we are being overcharged here or whether this price is justified.
The €12,000 are additional costs compared to the offered and commissioned plaster facade.
Thank you for your expert advice
