Hello,
we are currently having a shed roof house with an 8° roof pitch built by the developer and will soon have to inform the painter about how our facade (color and pattern) should be designed.

Color-wise, my husband and I agree ... it should be an ochre tone. The roof overhangs (50 cm on the terrace side, 20 cm on the other sides) will be white.

We had thought about making white edges on the corners of the house (running continuously from the bottom to under the roof), but we are not sure how wide they should be. The house is 10.19 m wide and 9.19 m deep.

We had imagined white surrounds around the windows. Since we will be living in the village, we do not want to stand out too much, so it should not be completely colored.

Maybe someone here is more creative than we are and has an idea for us that works better. I am attaching the house view and would be very grateful!

Do you know the Brillux color designer? A program by Brillux Farbenwerke. Play around with it. Instead of the white accents, I would combine ochre with a light gray. Try it out in the color designer. Also nice is the combination of white Ral 9010 or 9016 with a beautiful red, not too rusty, rather signal red, like on railroad barriers in the past.

Thank you very much for the tip, I didn’t know the color designer yet. I will try it out later. Unfortunately, gray is not our style at all, especially because there is a bungalow and a city villa in gray on the street. The settlement, which currently consists of 21 houses, is very individual; no house looks like the other. Last night we made another attempt. I am attaching the result and looking forward to your feedback...

I would choose apricot here instead of ochre; attached is a quick sketch where I see the white areas (shown here in purple): sorry, there’s a small mistake: on the narrow sides, the colored area should of course also run up to under the roof.
