Oh man, when things go wrong, they really go wrong. But it has to get better again at some point! Two months ago, a left-turning driver crashed into our Vito. We were completely blameless, repair costs over €10,000 and vehicle value according to the opposing insurance €3,800, so a total economic loss. But that's not true, because it can be replaced for not less than €8,000. The car is now standing in the driveway and cannot be used because it is not roadworthy. But I can’t have it repaired either. So we need a lawyer again. Does your comprehensive insurance at least pay?
Could it be that the roof membrane is not watertight if the water is above the vapor barrier? We’ve had that too. And also the leaking vapor barrier. You can take a look at the pictures in my thread "Drywall and vapor barrier done differently." We had the entire drywall redone. I can understand how you feel. At times, I didn’t even want to go to the construction site anymore. I think from that perspective the painting consultant doesn’t make sense anymore. You need someone who looks at the whole mess and can also put a price on it financially and get used to the idea that moving in will be delayed, even if it’s hard.
