Hello everyone,

I am happy that I found this forum :-)

I have the following "problem": we have converted a single-family house into a two-family house (separation of ground floor & upper floor). For this, we broke a front door on the garage (flat roof) and initially installed a construction staircase. However, I am not very happy with this solution. I would rather build a staircase into the garage (the garage is only used for storing tools) and install a small glass extension on the roof of the garage. However, the garage is on the property line and with the extension, I would no longer be 3 meters away! Without this extension, rain would get into the garage. So that is not an option either..... Does anyone perhaps have a good idea?

Many thanks

Best regards, Sebastian

You should ask the building authority about that.

Yes, the building authority helps with that.
