Always remember with the hollow chamber... What happens in winter at below zero degrees? When moisture in the hollow chamber turns to ice and expands.....

Back then, when I dealt with it, I saw many damage patterns that looked like they had something to do with it (cracks, splits, etc.)

Of course, it could also have been a coincidence because I was basically looking for that.
That's why we went solid....
I would do it exactly the same way again today...

You should also note that manufacturers require a slope of 2 percent for hollow chamber boards. This is to prevent water trapped in the chambers from freezing and thus damaging the board.
We had a hard time accepting a slope of 8 cm for a 4 m terrace; that seemed too much to us, even the beer in the glass would be tilted.
Therefore, solid profile was ordered.

I would always make a slope of at least 1.5% to 2% away from the house on a terrace. No matter what the manufacturer says. I definitely don’t want standing water at the house wall during heavy rain. And 2% slope is (if done evenly) 2% everywhere. Whether your terrace is 2m or 20m long. You don’t even see the 2% in the beer glass. Unless you have a 4m glass.

Me too. By the way: The manufacturer of my terrace boards generally recommends at least 1% slope – regardless of whether hollow chamber or solid board.
