Preferably inorganic liquid chlorine with automatic dosing.

So no matter what everyone else has written, I switched to salt this year and I’m thrilled. What writes is all well and good and certainly correct for such large pools of 50m³, etc., but for smaller pools you don’t pay 1000€ for a chlorinator. And I do think that the chlorine concentration is definitely lower if you don’t have an automatic system for liquid chlorine (but that also costs money).

Wait until it is really sunny and the water is warm ;) is right with his statements. The required amount of chlorine for disinfection is exactly the same. The only question is how conveniently the concentration can be monitored and controlled. Liquid chlorine with automatic dosing is still optimal.

Yes, the amount is the same, but the chlorine generator actually produces it. If you do not have any other automatic chlorination and do it manually, then certainly not daily, but weekly or via tabs. And precisely there, the chlorine concentration is sometimes already higher.

With us it was already warm, several days with over 30 degrees and 0 problems. As I said, this is my experience, but I also only have a pool with 8.3m³ of water.

We are not comparing with Taps. The investment for liquid chlorine with automatic dosing and chlorinator is comparable. Did you also have a lot of sun and the pool open all day? We are currently using almost no chlorine despite 31°C water temperature. The pool is covered because it has been raining for days or weeks. For an 8.3m3 pool, the "overcome" for a larger investment is greater. But especially small pools are more unstable when it comes to water values. Often the problem is also that the filtration system is much too small, not enough water is circulated... Salt has its justification. The way it is sold is a load of crap.
