One-sided information???? I just got 8 quotes and for the same system with installation, the totals ranged from 4000 to 10000€uro

Uninformed question marks question marks question marks

For a well-described controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery and [FRG], the device alone costs 4000 euros. A good controlled residential ventilation system also includes a ground heat exchanger, which also does not magically appear in the garden for free.

Of course, cheaper is always possible, but then it has nothing to do with good, high-quality, or comfortable. You can also build a house for 1500 €/m2, which is perfectly fine if that makes you happy. Calling a house for 2000 €/m2 an overpriced rip-off is just as nonsense as your statement.

Exactly. Zizzi, we have the combo, Helios exhaust motor, humidity-controlled, i.e., it comes alive with humid air, otherwise it just exhausts quietly along. The motor is in the bathroom. Supply air through RegelAir window vents. Costs unknown, it was standard in the house. Function 1a. Good air in the house, quickly dry bathroom. Don’t care about energy saving regulations and KfW, simple, rugged, reliable, that’s how it should be. Karsten

But that is decentralized, he means central for all rooms.

Why? That’s central. A Helios for the whole house in the bathroom, many window slots for fresh air intake. Since zizzi is also building on the ground floor, he could do it the same way and have fresh air for little money.

Central systems have central and controlled supply/exhaust air. In your Nordlys, it is an exhaust air system with decentralized and probably uncontrolled secondary air inflow through the windows. So it is neither one nor the other. However, it essentially has the characteristics of a decentralized system without heat recovery.
