Experience with special gutter construction?

we are currently in the middle of planning our single-family house and are just addressing the topic of the gutter.

We are building with an architect, who has drawn a very nice design for us according to our specifications.

However, this design contains a (for us) unusual gutter construction. We couldn't really find much about it on the internet. Therefore, we would like to ask the forum for help; maybe someone here has experience with the structure of this gutter construction and can tell us about its possible advantages or disadvantages.

A gutter without roof overhang.

Lay opinion:

Pro:
- Appearance (if you like it)

Con:
- more expensive
- In case of a leak, the soup runs down the wall.
- Second weak point below the gutter itself, then water runs into the wall in case of a leak.
- No dripping with snow/ice, again wall...

=> None of these are huge problems, so it can be done.

However, this design includes an (for us) unusual gutter construction. We couldn't really find much about it online.

Then show more about it. The illustrated sketch contains no legend for the numbers. The gutter appears to be floating above the parapet flashing (?) I would not call this a variant of a gutter construction, but rather of a system consisting of roof and gutter – so not a gutter variant usable on arbitrary roof constructions.

That doesn't seem to me to be the case; the parapet projects in front of the façade and also resembles an exterior window sill in terms of drip edges.

We are building with an architect who, according to our specifications, has drawn us a very nice design.

Then show it as a whole, preferably also with a special detailed drawing of the specific proposal.

What does the downpipe look like?

Wouldn't be surprised if it runs inside the facade.

About the construction, it looks fancy but probably costs five times as much as a normal gutter! If you have the money, go for it and regularly check the gutter.
