Are you newcomers? - the natives in the Eifel and the Pellenz all the way to the Neuwied basin have had the practical experience of preferring this local building material for centuries. I myself also live in it, monolithic, even 30 cm due to the year of construction. I am not aware of any significant differences to expanded clay (from the perspective of residents or users). Under the microscope ;-) there are some, but you don't notice them in everyday life. You would do well to follow the suggestion of the shell builder (see "11ant Steinemantra").
Yes exactly. In the Eifel, this still seems to be a common building material, as confirmed by the shell builder. We were just surprised because there is so little information about it online at least. Thanks very much for the info already!!
