How are we supposed to know that? What is your heating load in the end – can this even be covered with underfloor heating? A pellet stove without a water jacket that presumably heats something is nonsense... if the house is properly insulated, it will get way too warm and you would have to throw the windows wide open.. that’s not a concept. If the insulation is poor, you have to get up at night, otherwise the house will mold away because it cools down...

By the way, you can also run underfloor heating wonderfully with an oil BWT... ST always works (it just doesn’t always make sense)

So the fireplace is only used for additional heating in the living room and dining room. Radiators are of course also installed. How do I determine the heating load that is ultimately assumed?

Calculate... heat loss through the individual components to the environment. In the case of your bathroom, you can then determine whether and with which flow temperature you could achieve your desired indoor temperature in the deep winter with underfloor heating. Often it simply makes sense to continue using depreciated equipment at first – especially when you have to "get to know" the house anew.

So I have now made an appointment with an energy consultant for the week after next. I will see what comes of it.

Free or affiliated somewhere? I’m sometimes a bit suspicious ;-) I mean, always try to understand the motivation of the person opposite you.

Our community currently supports the inspections. Thus, the consultation with one hour of solar system planning and one hour of heat concept/insulation costs a total of 50 euros. The rest is paid by the city.
