Dear forum members,
we are facing the following problem: we are looking for a semi-detached house on the market.
Current offer: prefabricated semi-detached house, built in 2000, roof insulation 140mm insulation layer (probably U-value 0.3).
There is a top non-accessible ceiling.
If we purchase the property for our own use, would we then have to retrofit it within two years according to [Energieeinsparverordnung 2009] to a U-value of 0.24?
The lady from the mediating bank said that this is only necessary if we rent out the property, which in my opinion makes no sense. Have we overlooked something?
Thank you very much for your competent answers and best regards
Tim
