The same principles probably apply to gas, right?

? Of course on 16th or 17th July, so that the new contract starts immediately afterwards. Tell the new provider to cancel for you as early as possible, then it will fit perfectly.

Vattenfall looks very good. Contract duration 12 months, price guarantee 12 months, notice period 6 weeks.
Question about the bonus conditions according to C...24.

Besides the immediate bonus (€45), there would also be the new customer bonus (€152) for me.
"This new customer bonus will be forfeited if the contractual relationship is terminated by you before the end of 12 supply months. The bonus is not forfeited if the contractual relationship ends after 12 months."

So what now? Don’t these two sentences contradict each other somehow?

a) I terminate the contract on time 6 weeks before the end of the contract because I want to switch the provider again -> I lose the bonus because I was not supplied for the full 12 months?

b) I want the contract to run for a year -> I keep my new customer bonus and even get new bonuses for staying?

Without any included bonuses, I only save "2 cents / kwh". With our estimated consumption of 3,000 kwh/year, that would only save about 5 euros per month.

Edit: Appropriately, here is a one-star review on the comparison portal:
"The new customer bonus is only paid out if you have been a customer for more than 1 year. This was not apparent before signing the contract."

There are often enough local providers who do not engage with Verivox, Check24, and all the others. They are often just as cheap, sometimes even cheaper, but you don't have to switch annually.
