Electric window opening as an alternative to a ventilation system?

We had an appointment with a representative from Winkhaus (fittings) and Wirus (windows) at the window manufacturer with a sample window featuring a Winkhaus fitting and electric locking. That's right, it is not so clearly visible in the pictures.

But the window only protrudes 0.6 cm. Even with extreme wind, not too much should be blown in. And since the electronics are mostly supposed to run via KNX and because a weather station is installed anyway for the awning that retracts it when it rains, you can also just close the open windows. I see no problem at all.

Probably not even fresh air will be blown in then

Irony mode off!

Does the window then stay open all the time for proper ventilation, or how am I supposed to imagine that?

You have various setting options for the electric version at the window itself: continuous ventilation, random mode, timed ventilation (selection: 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes) or automatic ventilation (10 minutes per hour).

Of course, you can also install a humidity sensor in the room that tells the drive when to open the window. With a KNX installation, no problem.

Here is a video:

I watched the video (without sound. Is there sound? I'm always online without sound...)

There was nothing about "but it retains the heat in the room."

Where air escapes, heat also escapes, that is, the warmed air... so I wonder why this system exists, which works against the energy saving regulation?

... there I am also skeptical and prefer to stick with our central ventilation system.
