Electric heating in the new building...

Hello, we are currently still undecided about what kind of heating system to install in our future single-family house. Does anyone have experience with an electric heater regarding the acquisition costs and how high the running costs are?? Thank you very much. Andreas

Electric heating and energy saving regulations do not fit together. Electric energy has the highest primary energy factor compared to other energy sources! When using a heat pump with an efficiency of better than 4, electric energy becomes calculable. I can also contribute experience in this regard, but only for water/water heat pumps.

First of all, thank you for your answer. We have also already considered a heat pump, but our municipal utilities do not offer a tariff for it. So it is not really worthwhile. There are not many options left.

Our municipal utilities neither, the system must be well calculated and designed, then it still pays off.

I am a supply engineer and in that sense an expert.
Electric heating - only with heat pump - never otherwise.
