Ekey Fingerprint | Which components are necessary?

we have a front door with an electric motor lock and would like to connect a fingerprint reader from Ekey. This concerns a front door and possibly (if possible) the connection of the Hörmann SupraMatic E Series 4 garage opener. With my amateur understanding, I wanted to connect the ekey home FS UP I (integrated into the mailbox) with a home SE mini 2 control unit and then, for example, open the front door with the index finger and the garage door with the middle finger.

Is this feasible? Or do I need the significantly more expensive home SE REG 2 control unit? Or is it not possible with the garage door at all?

Last question: As a power supply, you can surely use any standard one for the DIN rail. It doesn't have to be a "special" one from Ekey, right? The prices for these are significantly higher than on the market.

And don't worry, I won't install it. Our electrician will do that. I just have to procure everything ;-)

All your assumptions are correct. The home SE mini 2 is sufficient for that.

Take the FP with RFID - think of the kids.

I would still choose the SE REG, if it doesn't completely blow the budget. Learning (many) fingers and especially making changes with the SE Mini is simply no fun.

The Mini naturally has the smallest range of functions. I use it myself and can say that it has an absolutely sufficient range of functions for a private household. You register a finger once and that's it, which took just a few minutes via the app. Those who regularly change fingers or so might be better off otherwise (or assign RFID tokens anyway, in my opinion the better option for children and guests).
